IN THE BEGINNING.........
| Welcome to Briar Hollow Gifts....In 1992 Briar Hollow was established out of a love for country and primitive style decor. I grew up on a farm so that "country way of life" has always been a part of me. I have always been the "crafty" type and made most of my own decorations for our home. By establishing Briar Hollow this gave me the opportunity to share and provide for others the country items to decorate their homes. Even though most of us can't escape back to those simpler times or live in the country we can create in our home our own little get away. I started out doing 26 craft shows a year and having a small shop in my home. After my husband became ill with a brain tumor I gave up the shows to spend more time with him. In the spring of 2000 I thought I would try my hand at the internet. It has been a huge success. My "little" home based business continues to grow each year and I thank my loyal customers for that. Mary UPDATE 09/03/08: Many of you continually ask about my husband and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your concerns and prayers. 3 years ago just before we relocated to New York, we were dropped with the bomb shell that he had another brain tumor. Though the doctors feel it is not beneficial to operate nor proceed with other treatment plans due to the risk we continually count our blessings as we know things can be much worse. God has truly taught us to live "one day at a time". |
